The police recovered 10 gold bars from the sandals of a young man in Roujan. Their weight is 1 kg 166 grams. The price is 1 crore 20 lakhs.

The person named Dwijen Dhar (39) was arrested from the Khaiyara Bazar area of ​​Fenir on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway at around 12:15 on Sunday. Later the police recovered the gold bars from his sandal. Dwijen Dhar is the son of Sudhanshu Dhar of Raujan area of ​​Chittagong.

The Superintendent of Police said that based on secret information, the police came to know that drugs were being smuggled from Chittagong to Comilla by a bus named Tisha Platinum. Later the bus was stopped on the Khaiyara Bazar Bridge on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway.

During the search, 10 gold bars were found hidden with scotch tape on the sole of the smuggler’s sandals.

Dwizen Dhar told the police that he was going to Comilla from Chittagong’s Hazari Lane. He has smuggled gold in this way in the past as well.
