1 million LPG models sold!

The Romanian manufacturer has just crossed the threshold of one million LPG vehicles sold: Dacia remains the European leader in this engine.

It has now been 14 years since Dacia offers motorization bicarburation essence / GPL on its vehicles. This symbolic step is synonymous with the success of this alternative energy.

LPG vehicles are a success at Dacia

At the end of July 2024, Dacia exceeded the million LPG vehicles sold since 2010, in all countries in the world where they are marketed. Today, the ECO-G 100 motorization dual-fuel gasoline/LPG is marketed on thewhole range : Sandero, Stepway, Logan, Duster and Jogger.
The interest in liquefied petroleum gas is on the rise since the sharp increase in fuel prices. Indeed, LPG is one of the cheapest fuels on the market: in France for example, it is up to 40% cheaper than unleaded 95. This represents a saving of around €40 per full tank. .
In addition, an LPG vehicle allows you to benefit fromtax advantagessuch as a reduced ecological penalty, eligibility for the conversion bonus, or even total or partial exemption from the vehicle registration fee depending on the department. Its use is simple since a gasoline/LPG dual-fuel engine can run on both unleaded and liquefied petroleum gas.

Proven and versatile technology

Since 2020, Dacia has offered a gasoline/LPG dual-fuel engine across its entire range, called ECO-G 100developing a power of 100 horsepower and a torque of 170 Nm. It is based on technology proven and mastered by the Romanian firm, since the launch of the first LPG engine in 2010.
According to the Renault group, this ECO-G 100 engine is as robust and reliable as a gasoline engine. It offers more performance, while reducing CO2 emissions by around 10% compared to an equivalent gasoline engine, and fine particle emissions by 90%.
The integration of LPG energy is done directly in the factory: the engine has been designed to run on liquefied petroleum gas, and the LPG tank takes the place of the spare wheelwhich does not impact the fuel tank or trunk volume. Finally, like the rest of the Dacia range, the LPG fuel models are guaranteed for 3 years or 100,000 km. The ECO-G100 engine also offers a range of up to 1,500 km, depending on the WLTP cycle.

Switching from gasoline to LPG is done manually using a button, or automatically when the liquefied petroleum gas tank is empty: the power then switches to gasoline.
