It was long overdue when the government recently launched a major plan to deal with the widespread opioid abuse among young people.
But the government could have saved many young people from ending up in opioid addiction if it had acted more quickly instead of being focused on being able to launch a large, collectively staged scheme to promote itself as powerful. There has been too much “campaigning in it” for the government.
