Stains are part of our daily lives. Sauce, butter, wine, fruit… Who has never found themselves with a nice “medal” on a t-shirt or white pants? Not to mention children who come home from school with stained clothes…
However, don’t panic. Solutions against stains exist… and they are natural too!
Natural tips to treat every stain!
Not all stains are removed in the same way… A quick review of the main accidents that can happen to your clothes and the ingredients to remedy them.
1 – Butter stain
When a freshly buttered slice of bread slips out of your hands and leaves a nice greasy mark on your brand new blouse, you want to blame the whole world…
But that’s without taking into account the land of Sommières.
Apply absorbent paper to the stain, then sprinkle it with Fuller’s earth. Wait for it to dry and brush it off.
THE grease stains are not resistant to Sommières earth! The latter, in the form of powdered clay, effectively absorbs and neutralizes a certain number of stains: oilmakeup, perfume… And this, on delicate surfaces such as textiles, leather, marble and even cabinetmaking. To be tested!
Terre de Sommières is a natural clay discovered at the beginning of the 19th century in the village of Sommière near Montpellier. It is now extracted in Morocco where it is recognized under the name of Fez soapIts high absorbency allows it to remove greasy stains (oil, butter, diesel, makeup, etc.) dry and without leaving a ring.

2 – Fruit stain
You couldn’t help but taste those strawberries on the way and dropped a few pieces on your cotton top… No problem!
If your top is colored, apply sour milk to the stain and leave it for 1 or 2 hours. Then, wash your top normally. Sour milk is unstoppable against fruit stains!
If your top is wool, apply white vinegar to the stain then rinse with clean water.
3- Paint stain
Oops, you didn’t see that sign that said “wet paint” and you leaned on that wall for a split second. Don’t panic.
If the paint stain is already dry, scrape it a little to remove as much paint as possible. Then, apply turpentine with a clean cloth and dab. The stain will be faded.

4 – Blood stain
A small cut, and that’s it, it’s a stain! But your garment is not ruined just yet… First of all, do not put hot water on the blood stain.
To remedy this, dissolve it instead an effervescent aspirin tablet in a little water, then apply it to the stain, rubbing very gently. Let it dry and brush. Repeat if necessary. Goodbye blood stain!
5 – Red wine stain
It’s Sunday, we’re enjoying the pleasant moments of a good meal with the family, we’re tasting a good glass of red wine… And bam, a new stain on the t-shirt or the white blouse, or worse, the brand new carpet!
It doesn’t matter, just apply boiling milk on it, leave it for several hours and the stain will be nothing more than a bad memory.
If your garment is colored, sprinkle the stain with fine salt and rinse immediately with cold water, waiting to clean it properly. The best thing, and if you have the possibility, is to put cold water with the addition ofammonia on the stain, before washing the garment normally.
6 – Vinegar stain
Vinegar is particularly useful in everyday life, but we are not immune to possible stains! To remove vinegar stains, apply a few drops of 10-volume hydrogen peroxide, then rinse with clean water. You will then be able to draw a line under the vinegar stain.
