In the last 24 hours, the PSP arrested 13 suspects related to the riots that have taken place in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area and also identified 18 other people. 45 incidents of fires involving urban furniture (mainly rubbish bins) were also recorded.
According to a statement from the PSP, the detainees are suspected of committing crimes of robbery, qualified physical harm, possession of explosive devices and prohibited weapons, attempted arson and using a fire extinguisher and damage to a PSP vehicle.
Of all these incidents, there were also: a damaged police vehicle, two buses set on fire, eight cars set on fire, a motorbike set on fire, three people injured, one of them seriously – the driver of one of the buses, who suffered serious burns to his face , chest and upper limbs – heyThere were a number of rubbish bins set on fire, as well as other urban furniture.
