14 people from a criminal organization arrested for the kidnapping and murder of a man in Barcelona

The National Police and the Mossos d’Esquadra have deployed this Tuesday a joint operation for the kidnapping and murder of a man from Eastern Europe committed in Barcelona. The device has resulted in the arrest of 14 people and the entry and search of 6 properties linked to a criminal organization dedicated to methamphetamine trafficking.

The searches have been carried out in several towns in Maresme, such as Cabrils, Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, Sant Iscle de Vallalta as well as in Barcelona. The investigation began after a complaint from a woman who notified the police that her husband had been kidnapped by a criminal organization on a trip to Barcelona. The captors extorted the woman by demanding a large sum of money or else they would retaliate. The body of this man appeared in Tarragona and the Mossos opened an investigation that exploded this Wednesday with the operation together with the National Police.
