The PSP’s Porto Metropolitan Command arrested 15 people following two crime prevention operations carried out over the weekend in the city, it was revealed this Sunday.
In a statement, the PSP clarifies that over the weekend it carried out two crime prevention actions to “promote public safety, order and tranquility, and to reinforce citizens’ sense of security”.
The operations resulted in the arrest of 15 people, 11 for driving under the influence of alcohol, one for possession of a prohibited weapon, one for speculation, one for lack of legal driving license and another for disobedience.
The PSP also seized an extendable baton.
As part of the actions, 83 administrative offence reports were issued for violations of the Highway Code and four reports were issued following inspections of establishments.
The detainees were notified to appear before the judicial authorities.
