SARAJEVO – The Federation of BiH /FBiH/ was visited by 156,345 tourists in June, which is 28.4 percent more than the same month last year, and 12.8 percent more than the previous month.

Tourists spent 308,526 overnight stays in June, which is 27.8 percent more than the same month last year, and 20.4 percent more than May, the Federal Bureau of Statistics announced.

The participation of domestic tourists in the total number of visits in June was 21.1 percent, and foreign tourists 78.9 percent, while the participation of domestic tourists in the total number of overnight stays was 20.1 percent, and foreign tourists 79.9 percent.

The most overnight stays were made by tourists from Saudi Arabia, 18.6 percent, followed by Turkey 11 percent, Croatia 5.9 percent, Poland 4.5 percent and the USA 4.2 percent, while tourists from other countries accounted for a total of 55.7 percent. of overnight stays.

According to the type of accommodation facility, the largest number of overnight stays was in hotels and similar accommodation with a participation of 95.8 percent.
