2 kilos 200 grams of eggplant grew in the garden of a farmer from Isparta

Mehmet Aydın, a retired civil servant who was a farmer in the village of Bağkonak, noticed a large eggplant when he went to pick vegetables in his hobby garden.

Taking the eggplant from the garden to be weighed, Aydin saw that the eggplant weighed 2 kilos 200 grams.

While the eggplant was being examined by the Yalvaç District Agriculture and Forestry Directorate teams, it became the subject of interest of the local people.

Work has begun to obtain eggplant seeds.

Aydin said that the eggplants produced were completely organic.

Stating that he produces vegetables in his hobby garden for his own needs, Aydın said, “I saw that an eggplant in our garden was growing abnormally. Since we consume our products ourselves, we do not use any hormones or pesticides.”
