The car was driven by a 20-year-old man in the Engomi area of Nicosia, with a 20-year-old man as a passenger. The 20-year-old passenger and the two 20-year-old girls were injured in the collision and were taken by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital, where the doctor certified the death of 20-year-old Irini.
