34% of French people want to move more this year, boosted by the Paris 2024 Olympics. And you, more fitness, restful sleep or detox from screens?
The resolutions of the French in 2025: sport still in the lead
At the start of each year, the French set new goals to improve their daily lives. In 2025, sport once again stands out as the number one resolution, chosen by 34% of respondents. This trend, reinforced by the enthusiasm of Paris 2024 Olympic Gamesappeals to all generations.
Other aspirations also stand out: spending more time with loved ones (24%), better managing your daily life (sleep, eating, moments of relaxation at 23%), or even reducing the time spent in front of screens (19%). While these priorities vary depending on age, they all reflect a quest for physical, mental and social well-being.
However, certain historical commitments, such as stop smoking or limit alcohol, attract fewer and fewer French people. At the same time, the difficulty in keeping resolutions remains relevant: only 55% of French people respected at least one of their resolutions in 2024, a figure down compared to the previous year.
Happy New Year 2025!
