Something like this has never happened in 75 years of Formula 1 history: all ten teams are showing their vehicle designs for the new racing season at the same time, in front of a live audience. This will happen for the first time on February 18, 2025 at the O2 Arena in London on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the World Cup.
In order to give the event a worthy setting, in addition to the new car designs, those directly involved are also at the start: all ten team bosses and all 20 drivers are traveling to London a good month before the start of the 2025 Formula 1 season.
Various show acts will also be there: Justin Bieber, Peter Kay and Madonna will appear.
Formula 1 series boss Stefano Domenicali is therefore already enthusiastic about this concept: “We are bringing together our fans, our superstars and a few very special guests for the first time to officially ring in the new racing season and celebrate our 75th anniversary.”
2025 has the potential to become a “classic” in Formula 1 after there were “many dramas” in 2024, says Domenicali. “And so we offer our fans of all ages the opportunity to get very close to the incredible entertainment spectacle of Formula 1.”
Tickets ab 70 Euro, Stream als Alternative
Tickets for the event can be purchased online. The equivalent of around 70 to 140 euros is due per admission ticket, plus booking fees. Advance sales begin on Friday (November 15, 2024).
Anyone who doesn’t want to or can’t be there in London also has the chance to see the event: Formula 1 wants to offer a stream about it.
Show makers have already worked on Las Vegas
The special Formula 1 presentation is organized by BrianBurkeCreative, the agency that had already developed the opening and closing ceremonies for the Las Vegas comeback in 2023. For the company, it is an “incredible honor” to continue its partnership with Formula 1, as company boss Brian Burke emphasizes.
He continues: “We work with all ten teams. That’s why fans can be sure that we will offer a truly exciting live show. On the one hand we show the new car designs, on the other hand we interview the most famous people in Formula 1. And on top of that There is cutting-edge entertainment that has never existed in this form before and no one should miss it.”
New cars? Possibly none!
But what may not be on display in London are the new cars for 2025. In recent years, the teams have often refrained from revealing the final specifications of their vehicles at their official presentations. Most of the time only the new color design is shown, sometimes on last year’s cars or on “dummy vehicles” that are intended to lure the competition on the wrong track.
It is not yet known whether the teams will hold individual presentations beyond the joint event on February 18th. Most recently, the ten Formula 1 racing teams either held their own events or presented their vehicles on site at the race track.
