Doubled NIS investments in the first half of the year: 24.4 billion for capital projects. RSD
In the first half of 2024, the focus of NIS was on the realization of the started investments in the further development and modernization of the company.
24.4 billion dinars were invested in capital projects, which is 111 percent more than the investments realized in the first six months of 2023.
The company’s priority was also to properly supply the market with all types of oil derivatives during the capital overhaul of the oil refinery in Pancevo, the most complex in the history of this factory. This made it possible to position the Refinery as one of the most modern and environmentally advanced in this part of Europe. Significant funds were also invested in the field of exploration and production of oil and gas, as well as in the continuation of the modernization of the retail network.
The average price of “Brent” oil in the reporting period was 84.1 dollars per barrel, which is five percent higher compared to the average price in the same period last year. The net profit of NIS Group amounts to 5.3 billion dinars, while the EBITDA indicator amounts to 22.8 billion dinars. The calculated liabilities of the NIS Group based on taxes and other public revenues amount to 118.1 billion dinars.
When it comes to operational indicators, the total volume of oil and gas production was 575 thousand conditional tons. The volume of processing of crude oil and semi-products was 1.4 million tons, and the total volume of turnover of oil derivatives was 1.65 million tons.
A new project was implemented as part of the company’s energy transition – a solar photovoltaic power plant with a total power of 620 kWp was built at the Jazak drinking water plant, and the value of this project is more than half a million euros.
“Communities together”
NIS continued with the implementation of activities beneficial to the community. A new competition for the social responsibility program “Communities together” has been announced, which will be implemented under the slogan “Together for green energy”, and the company will invest 144.5 million dinars in support of projects in the field of renewable energy sources in the local governments where most of its operations are carried out. business activities.
