The 27-year-old football player Christos Kermelidis is the driver who was charred to death in his car after a traffic accident that occurred outside of Larissa in the early hours of Sunday.

The heavy impact caused the vehicle to immediately burst into flames, trapping the driver, who was unable to get out of the car and was charred to death on the spot. Despite the immediate mobilization of the Larissa Fire Service, which rushed to the scene with two water tankers and two auxiliary vehicles, it was not possible to extricate the driver before the fire completely destroyed the vehicle.
