2nm processors only in iPhone 18

Last week we informed you that next year’s iPhone models may be powered by systems that will be manufactured in the 2nm technological process.

Meanwhile, one Weibo user reported that the above-mentioned information is false because mass production of such chips will not start before the end of 2025, which means that the iPhone 17 series will not be able to use them and Apple will use improved 3-nm processors.

The new systems will probably only appear in iPhone 18 models.

The use of this lithographic process should translate into an increase in performance by up to 15 percent and a reduction in power consumption by up to 30 percent compared to the 3-nm process.
