Three people were killed in a head-on collision between two motorcycles with a covered van in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna. Another person was injured in this incident. The accident took place in front of an oil mill in Dashuria union of the upazila on the Pabna-Ishwardi highway on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased are – Sakib Molla son of Mosharraf Molla of Bangram area of Ataikula police station of Pabna and Ashiq Hossain and Fahad Hossain of Padmabila area of the same police station. However, the name of the injured person is not known.

According to Pakshi Highway Police and eyewitness sources, the small covered van was going towards Pabna from Dashuria around 4 pm. At that time, the covered van collided head-on with two consecutive motorcycles leaving from Pabna. Two riders of the motorcycle fell on the highway and died on the spot. Two riders of the other motorcycle behind were injured. Another died after they were rescued and taken to hospital.
Pakshi Highway Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kazi Md. Mustasin said that 2 youths were killed in a head-on collision between a covered van and a motorcycle. Two were injured. After identifying the victims, we have informed their families and relatives. However, the identity of the injured was not found. A case will be registered under the Road Accident Act in this regard.
