3 suspects who stole 1 million lira worth of gold from a jeweler in Ankara were caught

In Çankaya district, at 20.39 on October 25, a suspect approached the jeweler from behind with a gun and threatened him while he was waiting at the door to close his shop.

Meanwhile, the suspect, who jammed the gun he wanted to fire, entered the shop with his 2 friends and stole gold worth 1 million lira.

The suspects took the jeweler’s car by force and fled the scene.

Upon notice, Ankara Public Order Branch Directorate Extortion Bureau teams worked in the escape direction of the suspects.

The teams located the car and detained the suspects separately within 3 hours.

Gold found in welding machine

Determining that the stolen gold was not with the suspects, the police started a search. The presence of screws and screwdrivers next to a welding machine in the search area attracted the attention of the police teams.

Upon examination, it was determined that the suspects hid the gold here. The stolen gold and the car were delivered to the jeweler.

On the other hand, it was learned that the suspects went to the person from whom they bought the gun immediately after the incident and returned it, stating that it was jammed, and after a while, the police also caught the gun dealer.
