300 bags of TSP fertilizer were caught by the police in Sitakunda

Four persons were arrested along with 300 sacks of TSP fertilizer from the highway of Baradarogarhat area during smuggling in Sitakunda.

After the police seized the fertilizers from the highway under the upazila at 2 am on Friday (December 10), the Thana police filed a case against four people involved in smuggling of fertilizers because they could not show any valid documents.

Meanwhile, according to police sources, four persons were going to Nilphamari from Chittagong with 300 sacks of fertilizer in a truck around 2 o’clock on Friday night. The police seized the truck from Baradarogarhat weigh scale area after being tipped off by confidential sources.

Later, when they were interrogated, they said that they were taking the fertilizers to Nilphamari. All the sars claimed them but they could not show any documents.

Finally, when ASI Atiqur Rahman of Sitakunda police station filed a case with the police station, they were arrested by the police.

The four arrested youths are Rabiul (30) of Dinajpur, Saj (34), Rakibul (32) and Khalil (32) of Chittagong Patiar.

Smugglers were taking 300 sacks of TSP fertilizer to Nilphamari for smuggling purposes. On receiving information, we arrested four youths along with car and fertilizer from Baradarogarhat scale on Dhaka Chittagong highway.

They could not show the documents that they bought these fertilizers. Later we filed a case and arrested them. The police said that an investigation is being conducted on where they got these fertilizers from.
