The Israeli attack on the outskirts of Beirut on Friday killed at least 31 people, including three children and seven women, the Lebanese Ministry of Health said today, according to Reuters. Another 68 people were injured. The airstrike targeted the Lebanese Hezbollah movement and killed two of its high-ranking commanders.

Hezbollah announced on Saturday that its second-in-command, Ahmed Wahbí, was also killed in an Israeli attack. Hezbollah added that Wahbi oversaw military operations by the elite Radwan forces in support of the Palestinian movement Hamas during the war in the Gaza Strip that broke out last October.
The pro-Iranian movement has previously confirmed that an Israeli attack in Beirut claimed the life of its high-ranking commander and one of its founding members, Ibrahim Akil. About ten other representatives of the movement are said to be the victims of the attack.
