35 birds of various species were seized in Ukhia, later released

The forest department has seized 35 birds of various species in a raid at the Balukhali Rohingya camp market in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar. Among the seized birds are 28 bucks and 7 other species of birds. Birds include myna, pankauri, buck. The forest department could not arrest anyone at that time.

The operation was carried out in the Rohingya camp market area of ​​Ukhiya around 2.30 pm on Sunday (November 17).

The campaign was led by Bikas Dan, Thaingkhali forest beat officer of Ukhia. In the afternoon of the same day, Upazila Assistant Commissioner Bhumi Jarin Tasnim Tasin and Ukhia Range Officer Gazi Shafiul Alam released the birds in the open air.

Ukhia Range Officer Gazi Shafiul Alam confirmed the fact of the incident and said that the seized birds have been released.
