35 suspects were arrested in the Kocaeli-based fraud operation. By the Provincial Police Department’s Cyber Crimes Unit under the coordination of the Gebze Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. The procedures at the police station for 47 suspects who were detained within the scope of efforts to prohibit and monitor cyber crimes have been completed.
Sent to Gebze Courthouse 35 of the 47 suspects were arrested by the judgeship to which they were brought. The others were released on condition of judicial control.
Police teams, The suspects defrauded people who wanted to shop by looking for advertisements they created on the internet, of nearly 4 million lira, by taking the price of the product or a deposit. 47 suspects were detained in the operation carried out on October 22 in Kocaeli, Adana, Istanbul, Osmaniye, Antalya, Izmir, Iğdır, Van, Manisa, Isparta, Balıkesir, Bursa, Çanakkale, Ankara and Ağrı. On the other hand, efforts are continuing to capture 6 fugitive suspects, 3 of whom are abroad.
