4 years later, no one has yet found this easter egg

We all know that Marvel films are full of easter eggs of all kinds. Fans regularly have fun finding these hidden references in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films. But sometimes it’s hard to find them all. The proof with Spider-Man : No Way Home. Indeed, director Jon Watts has just revealed that an easter egg was never discovered by fans.

No Way Home : the beginning of the multiverse

Released in 2021, Spider-Man : No Way Home was a real success for Marvel Studios. Directed by Jon Wattsthe feature film grossed more than $1.9 billion of box office revenue. An impressive score which is explained in particular by the presence of three Spider-Men in the film. And Tom Holland is obviously back, No Way Home is also marked by the comebacks of Tobey Maguire and of Andrew Garfield in the role of Peter Parker.

No Way Home

No Way Home was therefore the first real opening to the multiverse. An element that has become central within the MCU, which will also be at the center of the next two Avengers. Necessarily, Spider-Man : No Way Home full of easter eggs of all kinds. Yet, Jon Watts promises they haven’t all been found.

A well-hidden easter egg

More than three years after its release, Spider-Man : No Way Home has not yet revealed all its secrets to us. During an interview with ScreenRant to promote Skeleton Crew, Jon Wattsand the screenwriter Christopher Fordexplained that fans have never put their finger on one hidden easter egg. A reference that goes back to the time when Jon Watts and Christopher Ford made humorous videos on YouTube:

Jon Watts: There’s an easter egg in No Way Home that no one has found. It’s hard to find. But fans have discovered so many easter eggs. Those that we intentionally placed obviously, but also some that we hadn’t even thought of. And then, there are some very obscure references to our stupid videos we made with Ford a long time ago on YouTube.

Christopher Ford: Yes, people remember easter eggs from famous films. But people don’t necessarily have the references to our own short films.

Which is pretty obvious, mind you. However, the two artists have just teased us the presence of never-discovered easter eggs. So, to your keyboards, and tell us in the comments if you see what references they are talking about.
