Agricultural incentives will be given to 4 thousand 110 farmers in Mirsarai in the current financial year. In the financial year 2024-2025 under the Purnabasana and incentive program winter vegetable seeds and cash assistance, cultivable hybrid vegetable seeds, fertilizer assistance among the small and marginal farmers seed distribution program of various crops of rabi season has been inaugurated.
The agricultural incentive distribution program was inaugurated on November 7 (Thursday) at 10 am at Mirsarai Upazila Conference Hall under the initiative of Upazila Agriculture Office.
Under the chairmanship of Upazila Agriculture Officer Pratap Chandra Roy and moderated by Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officer Kazi Nurul Alam, Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Mahfuza Zerin spoke as the chief guest. Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Prashant Chakraborty Livestock Officer was also present at this time. Zakirul Farid, Primary Education Officer AKM Fazlul Haque, Upazila Public Health Engineer KM Said Mahmud, Upazila Election Officer Mohammad Zakir Hossain, Agricultural Extension Officer Jobaidur Rahman Bhasani, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Md. Upazila Agriculture Officer Pratap Chandra Roy said that under the rehabilitation scheme, 3,000 small and marginal farmers were given winter vegetable seeds and financial assistance in their homesteads and 1,010 farmers were given mustard, wheat, groundnut, sunflower, onion, mung, felon, kesari seeds under Rabi promotion. And chemical fertilizers will be provided.
