4,591 approvals from TOBB in August

The number of industrial capacity reports approved by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) in August increased by 7.39 percent on an annual basis, reaching 4,591.

TOBB announced the industrial capacity report data for August.

Accordingly, the number of industrial capacity reports approved last month increased by 7.39 percent on an annual basis, reaching 4,591.

Istanbul ranked first in the list of provinces with the most capacity reports, with 1206. This province was followed by Ankara with 323 reports and Bursa with 305.

While the number of active capacity reports in the TOBB Industrial Database was 97 thousand 8 in August 2023, it decreased by 1.43 percent to 95 thousand 625 last month.

The number of employees increased by 1.3 percent in August compared to the same month last year, reaching 4 million 7 thousand 814.
