49ers worries about Christian McCaffrey are growing

Running back Christian McCaffrey has been missing from his team, the San Francisco 49ers, since the start of the season. A tough loss for last year’s Super Bowl participant. To make matters worse, there is now bad news about the NFL star’s health.

“ESPN” reporter Adam Schefter recently confirmed reports from “NBC” reporter Matt Maiocco, who stated on Monday in “49ers Talk” that Christian McCaffrey was suffering from bilateral Achilles tendonitis. This means that not only the right leg is affected, but also the left. So far the reports have always referred to the right leg.

However, apart from this diagnosis, there is no new information, especially regarding a possible return of CMC.

“Here’s the truth of the matter: I don’t think Christian McCaffrey knows when he’s going to come back,” Schefter said on “The Pat McAfee Show” Monday morning. “I don’t think the 49ers know when he’s coming back. I don’t think anyone knows when he’s coming back right now,” the NFL insider said.

McCaffrey has been on the injured reserve list since Week 2, so theoretically he should be back in action in Week 6. However, according to the latest developments, this seems to be an ambitious goal.

NFL: McCaffrey visits German doctor

As NFL insider Ian Rapoport recently reported, the 28-year-old will be out until “the beginning of November at the latest.” McCaffrey remains on the Injured Reserve List. The insider doesn’t expect a return until NFL Week 10 at the earliest.

What you can’t blame Christian McCaffrey for, however, is that he’s doing everything he can to get back on the pitch. The running back recently even flew to Germany to see a specialist there. However, who exactly he visited there and what came of it is also unclear.
