4iG – helps in the flood situation with free mobile internet and unlimited calls

Residential monthly fee and top-up card customers can also use the communication company’s free services.

The defense against flooding is taking place with great strength, while the quay in Budapest is almost completely under water. We previously reported that in view of the difficult period, both Yettel and Telekom launched free services – the former provided unlimited data, the latter 100 minutes of talk time or 15 GB of mobile internet.

Vodafone Hungary, a member company of the 4iG Group, has now also joined the initiative: in view of the flood situation, the communications company is supporting its monthly residential mobile phone subscribers with 5 GB of mobile internet available free of charge for 3 days.

Customers can activate the service until 12:00 on September 23 by entering the code word “SOS5GB” sent to the phone number 1270. The free mobile internet can be used on Vodafone Hungary’s domestic network as well as within the EU.

The company also supports top-up card customers – it helps them keep in touch with unlimited calls for three days. Customers have until September 23, 12:00, to activate the option of free calls to standard rate Hungarian numbers by sending the SMS code “SOSHIVAS” to the phone number 1270.

By sending the message, the unlimited conversation or the 5 GB of mobile internet included in the plan are also automatically activated. It is worth mentioning that customers can reactivate both options after 3 days, if this takes place before 12:00 on September 23.
