Even during the summer and school holidays, the operator was not idle and worked on expanding coverage with a fast data network of the fifth generation. At the end of February, 4ka massively improved the network by switching from 3G to 4G network, all over Slovakia. Since then, it has focused on expanding its 5G, which, unlike other Slovak operators, also reaches real high transmission speeds.
13 new cities with 5G from 4ky
During the summer, 4ka expanded its 5G coverage to another 13 citiesfrom the west to the east of Slovakia. The following have been added to the coverage map: Galanta, Gelnica, Hlohovec, Kremnica, Leopoldov, Liptovský Hrádok, Liptovský Mikuláš, Poprad, Ružomberok, Sládkovičovo, Svit, Šaľa and Trebišov.
“The number of 5G devices in the 4ka network is constantly growing, while today every fifth 4ka customer has a smartphone with support for 5G networks, which is why this year, in addition to improving 4G, we also focused on building a fast 5G network. We are gradually bringing 5G to other locations, where our customers can really use the high transmission speeds of the mobile Internet,”
says Juraj Zachar, project manager for the 5G network 4ka.
4ky’s 5G network offers high transmission speeds up to 600 Mbit/s and significantly lower latency and is therefore suitable for all kinds of modern SMART solutions. It achieves these parameters in the band 3,6 GHz using the latest generation of AAU antennas, which are highly efficient in densely populated areas and can serve a large number of connected mobile 5G devices.
In order to use 4ky’s 5G network, you need:
- Being covered by the 5G network – which you can check on the 4ka.sk website
