5 Rohingyas escaped from Myanmar in Noakhalipara coastal area of ​​Baharchhara Union of Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar. On Wednesday (July 17) afternoon, 5 Rohingyas, including two women, crossed the Bay of Bengal with a trawler.

He said, in the afternoon, the local union parishad chairman arrested these Rohingyas. These five Rohingyas were arrested from Noakhalipara Ghat. The matter has been reported to higher authorities. He said that legal measures have been taken in this regard.

It is known that these Rohingyas who infiltrated are residents of Alipara in Myanmar. They boarded the trawler around 3 p.m. After reaching the wharf, the brokers left the trawler and fled.

The detained Rohingyas are Enamul Hasan, son of Haroon of Alipara, Mosharraf, son of Ekram Ullah, Ommul Kair, Ekram’s wife, Mofashshar, son of Ekram and Shahnaz, wife of Abu Bakr.

Teknaf upazila executive officer (UNO). Adnan Chowdhury said that five Rohingya have been taken into BGB custody. Further action is being taken in their regard.

At the same time, the trawler has been seized, he said, and legal action will be taken by identifying the owners, drivers and brokers of the trawler who are helping Rohingya infiltration. Due to the conflict in Myanmar, no infiltration will be allowed across the border.
