5 students were injured in a moon car (Jeep) carrying tourists on their way back from Sajek Valley Valley Tourist Center of Baghaichhari Upazila of Rangamati. This incident happened on Tuesday (January 7) around 12:30 pm. All the injured are said to be students of Noakhali University of Science and Technology (Nobiprobi).
According to local and police sources, on Tuesday afternoon, on the way from Sajek to Khagrachari, a tourist vehicle suffered a ‘wheel puncture’ and fell into a ditch at a place called Shijkachari, 3 km from the Sajek Valley tourist center. In this, 5 students of Noakhali Science and Technology University who were in the car were injured.
Confirming the incident, Rangamati Assistant Superintendent of Police (Bagaichhari Circle-ASP) Mahmudul Hasan said that on the way back from Sajek to Khagrachari in the afternoon, a moon car overturned in an area called Tin Rasta Mor, 3 km from Sajek Valley, and 5 students suffered head injuries. All of them are students of Noakhali Science and Technology University. The injured were rescued and sent to Sadar Hospital in Khagrachari. All were not immediately identified.
