DAPURPACUID – PT Wahana Makmur Sejati (WMS) again held an industrial visit program to the Jatake Distribution Center, which was attended by around 500 students from various assisted vocational schools.
Taking place throughout October 2024, this activity is carried out as part of PT WMS’ commitment to improving the quality of highly competitive vocational school graduates.
This activity itself is part of the One Heart Education Program (SHEP), which equips assisted vocational school students with insight and practical skills.
This is also a step towards synergizing Honda’s motorbike business with the business and industrial world in Indonesia (DUDI), so that capable young generation competencies can be realized and are in line with developments in motorbike technology.
During the visit, 500 students from various assisted vocational schools had the opportunity to receive theoretical training from the vocational team, the latest product innovations, as well as the latest technological developments in the fuel motorbike and electric motorbike industries.
Through this industrial visit, students were also given the opportunity to directly see the distribution process of Honda motorbikes at the Jatake Distribution Center to the Jakarta – Tangerang dealer network.
On the other hand, they also have the opportunity to learn more closely about the world of work, as well as being provided with training about driving safety through the #Cari_Safe campaign.
“We are aware of the importance of providing industrial experience to assisted vocational school students,” explained PT WMS Head of Technical, Dwi Supriyatno, in his official broadcast, Thursday (7/11).
“Through this industrial visit, we hope to provide them with useful insights and direct knowledge regarding innovation, technology in the industry and the Honda motorbike distribution process.”
“This is a concrete step to support the creation of human resources that are ready to compete and have good quality,” explained Dwi while saying that this program has the full support of PT Astra Honda Motor in developing the vocations and quality of human resources for vocational school graduates.
The lucky vocational school students also had the opportunity to directly visit the Plant 3 industry located in Cikarang, MM2100 Industrial Area, to see the Honda motorbike production process.
The production process starts from the assembly stage, quality checking, to product testing. they can see how every Honda motorbike is produced to high quality standards.
The industrial visit program carried out by PT WMS together with PT AHM is part of a real effort to prepare the young generation who have the technical understanding as well as the soft skills needed in the industrial world.
The hope is that students who take part in this activity will have added value when entering the world of work and will be able to speak more in the world of the two-wheeled industry, especially Honda motorbikes.
Through this visit, it is also a commitment to support the development of quality human resources ready to face the challenges of industry 4.0.
It is hoped that it will be an inspiration for the students at the Assisted Vocational School to continue learning, innovating and contributing to building a better future.
Dwi said, by providing direct experience in an industrial environment like this, it is hoped that the target vocational school students will be able to have a more real picture of the world of work that they will face in the future.
