Mercedes-Benz is recalling 57,988 all-wheel drive E-Class, E-Class Coupe, E-Class Cabriolet and AMG GT 4-Door Coupe models manufactured between June 7, 2018 and April 20, 2022.
The cause of the recall is an improperly positioned transmission wiring harness, which could lead to water ingress which could cause a short circuit and create thermal overload at the connector when the vehicle is parked, increasing the risk of fire. .
In the recalled cars, Mercedes will replace the wiring with new ones.
