It’s a strange perversion of humanity that we like to watch two (or more) wild strangers beat each other in the head under conditions that are considered sportive at best. It is no coincidence that the linear viewership record of Netflix’s existence so far was brought by a boxing match.
Namely, the weekend’s Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul’s game, which at the peak was streamed by 65 million households worldwide, thus beating last year’s Christmas NFL games, which were watched by “only” 30 million people each.
