An 80-year-old man died this Monday following a fire at his residence on the outskirts of Funchal, a source from the Funchal Firefighters Sapadores told the Lusa agency.
“The alert was given at 6:07 am for a fire on the first floor of a house on the Saltos route”, on the outskirts of Funchal, he said.
The same source added that the victim was an 80-year-old man “who lived alone”, and the death was confirmed at the scene.
The Funchal Sapadores mobilized four vehicles and 12 elements for this incident.
