DAPURPACUID – The peak celebration of the anniversary of the Royal Riders Indonesia (RoRI) community was exciting and lively, attended by hundreds of members who use Indian-made motorbikes.
Taking place last weekend (27/7), the 8th anniversary moment this year was centered at CIBIS Park, Cilandak, South Jakarta, with the title ‘8Citing RoRI’.
President of RORI for the 2022-2024 period, Adnan Maddanatja, said that the 8Citing RoRI activity was the biggest and most magnificent event ever held by his community.
The excitement was evident from the selection of guest stars, the presence of various motorcycle communities, and most importantly, the presence of 14 of the 16 RoRI chapters spread throughout Indonesia.
Adnan explained that this celebration was the last event at the end of the national management period that he led, where they had planned it well for the last two years.
“As a tribute to communities, this event was attended by more than 60 communities in Jabodetabek. We tried our best after the last 2 years to make RoRI bigger, better and more united,” he said.
Previously, they rode together around the capital city of Jakarta, starting from the Gedung Juang Museum, Menteng, Central Jakarta. The group was invited to cut through the streets of Jakarta amidst traffic jams.
Starting from Jalan Merdeka Selatan, in front of the Jakarta Governor’s Office, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Jalan Antasari until finally on Jalan TB Simatupang and entering CIBIS Park.
After entering the activity area, the group was greeted with Betawi art and culture, namely Palang Pintu. As it got dark, all participants were given the opportunity to try out the new adventure motorbikes provided.
Adnan also appreciated all the invitees including RoRI members who attended 14 of the 16 chapters. After his leadership ends, Adnan also plans to tour eastern Indonesia.
“Hopefully this will be a medium to strengthen our friendship among bikers, especially RoRI members. For the new RoRI national management, we pray for success and trustworthiness,” he said.
Involve MSMEs
In this event, RoRI also contributed to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to enliven it. Various interesting foods were served completely during the event.
Located around the main stage, the committee presented various booths of traditional Betawi food to several event sponsors such as Kapal Api. So that the euphoria of the participants increased.
The dishes available include Kerak Telor, Soto Betawi to Selendang Mayang. The involvement of these MSMEs is recognized as an effort to advance the businesses they run.
This was agreed by Didik B. Susanto, Chairman of the 8Citing RoRI Committee. According to him, every on-stage activity (event) or riding always involves MSMEs.
“In Jakarta, it contains culture and culinary. In general, if you want to count, we invite around 50 communities. They must have riding activities to the regions,” said Didik.
According to him, when they tour the regions and buy food, souvenirs or gifts, it is part of empowering the local economy.
“Many communities move to the regions, eat traditional foods as usual and some take photos, selfies and are exposed on social media. The impact in general for me is very good,” concluded Didik.
The peak of the 8th anniversary of RoRI, all members and guests held a prayer together accompanied by singing the song Indonesia Raya. At the same time, the President of RoRI for the 2024-2026 period, Harry Prasetyo, was inaugurated.
After that, several new marshals and deputy marshals were also inaugurated. The khitbad event ended, marked by the handover of plaques to the communities and motorcycle clubs present.
Next, all the guests who attended CIBIS Park were entertained with performances from The Badax, Om Abidin, and closed with the SKA band Tipe-X. (dpid/TH)
