Xiaomi has a regularly updated list of phones whose software support has ended on its website, and several popular phones have recently been added to the list, including the Poco F2 Pro.
Xiaomi is ending support for other phones
Chinese giant Xiaomi has hundreds of phones in its portfolio and sometimes it is difficult to know the software support offered. That’s why there is a so-called EOL list, where phones that have ended support for updates, both system and security, will end up.
The end of software support has recently occurred for several interesting phones such as Mi 9 Lite, Mi 9 SE, Mi 10 Lite, Mi 10 Pro and Mi Note 2. The entire model range of Xiaomi phones in the program has ended on the list Android Onei.e. Mi A1, Mi A2 and Mi A3 phones. These devices were particularly interesting because they featured pure Android without the MIUI superstructure of the time. The Mi Pad 4 tablet, on which enthusiasts managed to run Windows 10, has reached the end of its journey.

Several Redmi and Poco phones also lost support
Telephones Redmi they are mainly known for their great price/performance ratio, and even they can’t get updates forever. From September, the following Redmi phones will not receive the update: Redmi 9, Redmi 9 Prime and Redmi 9A, which are the most affordable models. Several pieces from the popular Redmi Note series, namely the Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 9, have also reached the end of their useful lives.
Three phones from the Redmi K series, namely the Redmi K20, K30 and K40, also saw the end of support. These models were sold mainly in the Asian market. The update will no longer come to several phones of the brand Bit. Time to get a new phone
If you own one of the phones mentioned above, it would be a good idea to start looking for a replacement, because in the future some apps may no longer work for you. Many popular applications are constantly increasing their version requirements Android. Another reason to replace the phone is the security of the operating system. The phone will become more vulnerable because it won’t receive patches for newly discovered security holes.
The last reason it might be a good idea to replace these phones is battery health. Many of the newly added phones on the list are from 2018 and in that time the device’s battery may have degraded to the point that it may not even last 2-3 hours. Repairing these phones is difficult because replacement parts are no longer produced.
