One of the key prerequisites for a good result in the game is a good keyboard and mouse. We don’t mean colored backlighting and flashing light effects, although those also add to the atmosphere of a gamer’s lair, but the precision and speed of keyboard switches, mouse buttons and its motion sensor. In a joint review, we will present a top gaming keyboard and mouse from the Glorious brand.
Glorious GMMK2 keyboard
In addition to the short version I had available, which is 65% the length of a standard keyboard, there is also a longer 95% version on offer. The keyboard impressed me with its precise construction and high-quality switches. The upper cover also serves as a platform on which the switches are fixed. The keyboard is connected via the included USB-C cable. The connector is slightly recessed in the middle of the rear wall, which contributes to a secure connection. We also call such a keyboard keyboard. Despite the fact that I am used to laptop keyboards with low travel, I belong to the older generation who worked with a classic keyboard for many years, so I got used to the longer travel of the keys almost immediately. The keyboard weighs almost 900 grams, so it is stable even during more aggressive use, which is typical not only for gaming, but also for fast typing. The keyboard is quieter than I expected even with such use, there is probably some layer inside that dampens the sound quite effectively, not so much the keystroke, but the reverberation after the stroke. Four rubber feet also contribute to stability. Two tilting legs allow you to adjust the angle of inclination in the range of up to 14 degrees. Along with the keyboard, I also had a stylish wrist rest, which is unusually made of wood. It is much more pleasant than classic armrests with a textile or plastic surface.
The keyboard uses high quality Fox switches that Glorious manufactures itself. The guide surfaces are lightly lubricated from the factory. Their mechanism has a linear response to compression, so according to the technical data, it will engage after 2.2 mm of compression. Unlike progressive keys, you won’t experience any tactile feedback at this point like the elastic resistance suddenly giving way. The elastic resistance to compress this distance is 45 g, a force of 60 g is required to fully compress. Translucent symbols on the keys are part of the molding, so unlike printing, they never rub off. I have to praise the uniformity of the illumination of both the symbols and the upper surfaces of the switches under the keys, so this illumination stands out when viewed from the side. There are thin RGB strips on the sides of the keyboard body. Alternative functions of the keys are marked on their front side. The brightness and mode of the backlight effects can be changed through alternative functions of the keys, or with the help of the Glorious Core software, which also allows programming of macros, or sequences of actions assigned to a certain key.
I’m more of a casual gamer than an avid gamer, so I’ve only tested the keyboard in a few games, like Hallo. I used it more for writing, trying to write all ten and as fast as possible. I was satisfied with the layout of the keys, the response of the switches and the linear course of the elastic resistance against pressing.

Glorious Model I2 mouse
The design gaming mouse has an ergonomic shape and thanks to six sliding pads made of pure polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) without additives, it glides smoothly on the pad. The mouse is relatively light, only 75 grams, so it has little inertia. Holes on the upper shaped surface both contribute to the favorable weight, and on the other hand allow you to see inside the components with colored backlighting. Accurate click response is also important for players – both tactile from the switch and electronic. The shape and construction of the buttons prevent them from locking when clicked quickly and, together with the magnetic switches, create a synergy between sound and tactile sensation. The mouse has nine programmable buttons, including four side buttons, two of which are replaceable. Such a number of buttons is ideal for MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) and MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) games. The optical sensor is BAMF 2.0. Two of the four side buttons – the thumb button and the trigger – are interchangeable. In the package there are alternative buttons, which differ by a protruding part, and the same metal tool used to slide out the SIM slot in smartphones. The mouse, of course, does not have a SIM card, the tool is intended for removing buttons when replacing them.
The maximum resolution of the sensor is 26,000 DPI and the sampling frequency is 1000 Hz. In practice, this means that the mouse state is scanned 1000 times per second. Low inertia, fast sampling, and virtually zero latency over a wired or proprietary radio connection create an immediate connection between your brain, mouse, and game scene. After several tens of minutes of playing, you feel as if the mouse is part of your hand. DPI is set using the button on the bottom. The setting is signaled by the color of the miniature LED. You quickly get used to which resolution corresponds to which color.
The mouse communicates with the computer via either a USB cable, a proprietary 2.4GHz radio link using the included USB dongle, or via Bluetooth, each mode providing high data throughput to ensure accurate, lag-free response. The package includes not only a dongle with a USB-A connector, but also a reduction to a USB-C cable. The included cable is light and flexible. The battery lasts 210 hours with the RGB backlight off.
