Foreign. US President Joe Biden is abandoning the presidential campaign and not running for re-election.
“I want to thank everyone I worked with,” he writes in an open letter.
“Although it has been my intention to seek re-election, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and country that I step down and focus solely on fulfilling my duties as president for the remainder of my term,” writes Joe Biden on X.
He continues:
“It is in the best interest of the party and the country that I step aside and fulfill my duties as president for the remainder of the term”.
