After US President Joe Biden withdrew from the candidacy on Sunday, his vice president, Kamala Harris, became the number one candidate for the vacant position.
Harris said that she accepts the contest, so she can be the first black and Asian president of the United States, not to mention a woman.
He also added that he is honored that Joe Biden is standing by his side and trying to earn the presidential nomination.
“I will do everything I can to unite the Democratic Party — and unite our nation to defeat Donald Trump and his extremist Project 2025 agenda.”
