Tesla CEO Elon Musk has announced the full implementation of Optimus humanoid robots in production. The mass use of humanoid robots in Tesla’s work will begin in 2025, Musk wrote on the social network X.
According to Musk, Tesla will begin mass production of Optimus robots for the external market in 2026.
In 2022, Tesla unveiled the first version of the humanoid robot Optimus. The prototype walked on stage on its own, waved to the audience, and danced a little.
In December 2023, Tesla showed a new version of the humanoid robot Optimus Gen 2. It moves 30% faster than its predecessor, and has sensors on its fingertips.
