The device now features two additional air tunnels that dissipate heat away from the internal components and touchscreen, keeping the operating temperature lower. According to Fund this new system draws up to 24% more air from the device and keeps the touchscreen up to 6°C cooler during intense games.
In terms of software, the ROG Ally X runs on Windows 11 Home, paired with Armory Crate SE 1.5, providing a seamless and customizable gaming interface. The device supports a number of connectivity options, including two USB-C ports, one of which is Thunderbolt compatible, and a UHS-II microSD card reader for additional storage. The 7-inch FHD display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and FreeSync Premium ensures a vivid and smooth image.
