AI-controlled smartphones
Nubia is bringing out an updated version of the Z60 Ultra and has also introduced the Z60S Pro. Both smartphones are now available for pre-order.
Nubia has introduced two new smartphones. The nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version and Nubia Z60S Pro models are said to offer advanced AI functions and AI-assisted imaging technologies, according to the manufacturer.
Nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version
The Nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version is a slightly improved version of the Nubia Z60 Ultra, which was introduced at the end of 2023. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version, which is a slightly higher clocked version of the processor that was also used in the previous model. The 6,000 mAh battery, together with AI-supported power-saving technology, should enable a longer battery life. The display measures 6.8 inches, has a resolution of 2,480 x 1,116 pixels and offers a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The device also has an IP68 certification for dust and water protection.
The 12 MP front camera again uses under-display technology, so that the display is not interrupted by a camera cutout. There are three cameras on the back: The main camera with 35 mm wide angle has a new 50 MP sensor from Sony’s IMX-9 series. There is also an ultra-wide angle, also with 50 MP, and a 64 MP telephoto lens. Various AI functions should ensure optimal image quality.
Nubia Z60S Pro
The Nubia Z60S Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and offers a 5,100 mAh battery that supports 80 W fast charging. According to the manufacturer, the device is characterized by a robust design that is said to offer high resistance to drops and scratches. The display measures 6.78 inches and has a resolution of 1,260 x 2,800 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
The large, round camera module on the back is striking. It houses a main sensor with a 50 MP resolution, an ultra-wide angle with 50 MP and an 8 MP telephoto. The front camera has a resolution of 16 MP and is embedded in the display as a small, circular recess.
