Rome Still Burns: The Devastating Fire at Monte Tusculum
The imposing fire was clearly visible even from Rome. From early Tuesday afternoon it began to devastate the woods Of Grottaferrata present in the area of via of the Tusculum.

“A truly desolate landscape. The only consolation is to see with what determination and stubbornness the Civil Protection volunteers and the Fire Brigade are committing themselves to dealing with this truly incredible emergency” added Pulcini.
The serious fire at Tuscolo was just one of the many emergency cases to be managed by the firefighters in the Rome area and its surroundings on this day, with others fire broke out near Marino, Ciampino and Pomezia.
An area that does not seem to have a day of peace in recent weeks, due to a mix of high temperatures, poor vegetation management and malicious acts.
