- Xiaomi is preparing a new 14T series, which should be presented relatively soon
- Xiaomi 14T Pro will get a better camera than the already presented Chinese version
- Instead of Snapdragons, Xiaomi will offer MediaTek flagship chips
Xiaomi is finalizing the preparations of the new series 14T, which should be presented relatively soon, there is speculation about August or September. Although we do not have official information yet, thanks to several leaks we learn interesting details, especially about their photographic equipment. In addition, it has been quite clear for some time that the phones will be based on the recently introduced series Redmi K70which traditionally will only be sold in China.
Let’s look at the most interesting thing – cameras. Xiaomi 14T Pro it is supposed to get the same main sensor as the basic Xiaomi 14, namely Omnivision OV50H. The Chinese company is marketing it as Light Hunter 900, so it can be assumed that it will use the same marking on the official presentation. At the same time, the Redmi K70 Ultra has a significantly weaker Sony IMX906 sensor. We can recognize it from cheaper phones, such as the Galaxy A55.
What about the rest of the cameras? Here it will also be different compared to the Chinese model. The main sensor is supposed to supplement 50MP telephoto lens from Samsung and 13MP ultrawide Omnivision. This whole assembly should be sanctified again Leicou.
Basic Xiaomi 14T it will have the same equipment, with the only difference being that it will get a weaker Sony IMX906 main sensor. Which by the way is the one found in the Redmi K70 UItra. It’s all a bit confusing, but that’s how it sometimes goes with rebranded models from Xiaomi.
As for processors, there is speculation about Dimensity 9300+ for the Pro version and Dimensity 8300 Ultra for the basic model. Chipsets from Qualcomm will therefore remain exclusive to China, but this does not have to bother anyone. Last year’s Xiaomi 13T series with silicon from MediaTek already had power to give away, as you could read in our period review.
Are you looking forward to the Xiaomi 14T series?
