“Comedy Battle”: New show starting today on Joyn

For the first time, Joyn Germany, Joyn Austria and Joyn Switzerland are producing a joint format with “Comedy Battle”, which is available from today.

The new show “Comedy Battle” has been available on the streaming service Joyn since Wednesday, but initially exclusively behind the paywall on Joyn Plus+. 31 comedians from Germany, Austria and Switzerland compete against each other in 18 battles and throw their best punchlines at each other. In each episode there are two country duels and a history battle. In the latter, two comedians take on the role of well-known personalities such as Adam and Eve, the Queen and Harry Potter, Greta Thunberg and Donald Trump. A total of six episodes were produced for Joyn produced.

A jury decides on the battle winner. In keeping with the three country motto, Abdelkarim represents Germany, Angelika Niedetzky represents Austria and Charles Nguela represents Switzerland. The moderator Chris Stephan from Austria presents the “Comedy Battle”.

Roland Otto Bauschenberger, Pascal Hausberger, Hubert Mayr, Niko Nagl, Erika Ratcliffe, ‘Satansbratan’, John Smile and David Stockenreitner from Austria. Jozo Brica, Teddy Hall, Cenk Korkmaz, Reena Krishnaraja, Leila Ladari and Jane Mumford from Switzerland.
