Philips 27E1N1600AE / Monitor for home office and classic office

The Philips 27E1N1600AE monitor is designed to provide an optimal WQHD (2560 × 1440 pixels) resolution for a 27-inch screen, a refresh rate of 100 Hz and allow for convenient connectivity, including USB-C, while the device can also be powered and charged at the same time with a power consumption of 65 W. The brightness of 350 nits is enough even for working in a well-lit room, of course, direct light should not fall on the screen. The stand enables height adjustment of the display panel in the range of 100 mm and tilting of the display panel in the range of -5 to 20 degrees.

The response time of 4 ms (GtG), 8-bit color depth and high contrast of 1500:1 are sufficient for practically any use. The monitor is also suitable for casual gamers, adaptive synchronization allows to achieve a latency of 1 ms MPRT (Moving Picture Response Time), so you have a clear image of game scenes without blurring. For example, I tried it while scrolling quickly in the strategy game Age of Empires II Definitive Edition.

I used the monitor for two weeks on a PC with an ASUS ProArt GeForce RTX 4080 graphics card, which I primarily use for examples and experiments with machine learning. However, a powerful graphics card is a big provocation, so I also installed several games on this computer and spent quite a lot of time playing them. Despite the fact that the Philips 27E1N1600AE is not a gaming monitor, I had quite a lot of fun with it. I also worked with DaVinci Resolve for video editing and I have to praise the true colors. Although the brightness of 350 nits cannot compete with monitors with HDR+ support, it will serve amateur photographers well for basic HDR photo editing, for example in Zoner Photo Studio.

Built-in speakers with a power of 2 × 2 W can be considered more of an emergency solution, for high-quality sound you will definitely get headphones or external speakers.
