Tesla: Within 2025 the start of production of the Roadster, on October 10 the presentation of the robot taxi

Elon Musk announced that Tesla’s robotaxi will finally be unveiled on October 10 and not August 8 as originally planned, because the company made design changes to the front end and added “a few other things.”

As for the Roadster, that’s finally expected to go into production 8 years after its unveiling, which took place way back in 2017. As Musk said, most of the car’s mechanical development is complete, although there are a few upgrades they want to make. .

In its top version, the car will be able to do 0-100 km/h in less than 1 second since it will make use of air thrusters, with the master behind the number plate and when used, the plate “will falls”.

The thrusters will be connected to a tank of high pressure compressed air, around 10,000 PSI (690 bar), which will be used to accelerate the model. This tank will be located in the position of the rear seats, with Musk saying that the specific technology is like those we are used to seeing in James Bond movies.

Also in his earlier statements, Musk had said that his desire is to make the Roadster hover one meter off the ground. As he typically said:

I want the Roadster to float and we’re trying to figure out a way to do it without, you know, killing people. I thought, maybe we could make it hover about a meter off the ground or something. If it falls, its suspensions will be damaged, but its passengers will not die.

Musk added that the Roadster will be able to travel “pretty fast” while in the air.

The Roadster will be powered by three electric motors, one at the front axle and two at the rear, producing 10,000 Nm of torque, allowing it to do 400 km/h in 8.8 seconds, reach a top speed of 402+ km/h, with the battery of 200 kWh to offer a range of 1,000 km.

Tesla hasn’t revealed any other details about the model’s electric motors, but reports have it producing more than 1,000 horsepower.
