Kang Joo-eun, a broadcaster and former Miss Korea, achieved annual home shopping sales of 60 billion won.
In Channel A’s ‘Best Friends Tocumentary Table for 4’ (hereinafter referred to as ‘Table for 4’), which aired on the afternoon of the 6th, Kang Joo-eun invited actors Ahn Moon-sook, Oh Hyun-kyung, and Kim Yun-ji to a New Year’s party at a hotel’s ultra-luxurious suite.
Kang Joo-eun, a former Miss Korea Canada contestant, made her name known by marrying actor Choi Min-soo in 1994, and is currently gaining popularity as a mother of two sons and active in home shopping and entertainment programs. In particular, she earned the title of ‘Queen of Home Shopping’ by achieving annual sales of KRW 60 billion through her show hosting activities that began a few years ago.
On this day, Kang Joo-eun said, “Our annual sales are over 60 billion won.” Her husband, actor Choi Min-soo, once broke into a home shopping studio and said, “While on air, I asked, ‘Who is that person?’ “But the closer he got, the more I thought, ‘He won’t come next to me,’ but he slowly came closer to me, saying, ‘If you do this again, I won’t have any allowance.’”
Actress Ahn Moon-sook asked, “Don’t you earn more than your husband?” Kang Joo-eun responded, “Of course. I’m paying more taxes. It was my dream.”
She said, “After I met my husband, I gave up living in Canada and came to Korea. I lived as a housewife for over 10 years, but it was very difficult. I didn’t make any money and lived off everything my husband earned. It hurt my pride and I wanted to contribute to the economy. “At that time, when I said, ‘It’s all your money, it’s a burden,’ my husband said, ‘No, it’s all your money.’ “He said,” he said.
Kang Joo-eun said, “Afterwards, I was having fun and said, ‘What’s yours is mine, and what’s mine is mine.’ “I am living with the mindset of ‘I am responsible for everything.’ I have been living with the mindset of taking responsibility for everything together for 30 years.”
