Samsung Electronics introduced the new 2025 Smart Monitor, Odyssey Gaming Monitor and ViewFinity Monitor series monitors, all of which were on display during the Samsung First Look event held at CES on January 5.

Samsung’s 2025 models aim to set new standards in the monitor segment, bringing AI features, sizes available for the first time in the OLED market, and new types of design that excite users around the world, whether they use them for work, play play or create.

Smart Monitor M9: Entertainment and efficiency get an AI upgrade

The Samsung Smart Monitor M9 (model M90SF) introduces industry-first AI features that enhance entertainment and interactivity through intelligent picture adaptation and search functions.

As the first monitor to integrate AI, the M9 features AI Picture Optimizer, which analyzes input signals to determine the type of content being viewed – such as games, video or productivity apps – and automatically adjusts screen settings for the best viewing experience. For gamers, AI technology goes further by recognizing the game genre being displayed and fine-tuning image settings to deliver an optimal and immersive experience for each genre.

The M9 also incorporates 4K AI Upscaling Pro, which uses advanced AI processing and neural networks to upscale lower resolution content to 4K quality. By analyzing input signals and existing image data, this feature delivers sharp images with enhanced detail regardless of the original resolution.

These smart and customized features enhance the hardware performance of the M9. It has a 32″ 4K OLED screen with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification for incredible detail and vivid colors. Its slim design, along with Easy Setup support allow users to effortlessly create their ideal workspace, and the built-in 4K camera makes it convenient to use in any environment.

Samsung Odyssey Series: Two industry firsts – 27″ OLED 4K gaming monitor and an OLED screen with a 500Hz refresh rate

The Samsung Odyssey series of gaming monitors increases the industry-leading performance available to new dimensions with the 2025 Odyssey OLED G8 and G6 models.

The Odyssey OLED G8 (model G81SF) is the world’s first 27″ 4K (3840×2160) OLED gaming monitor. The screen offers a pixel density of 165 PPI (pixels per inch), with a refresh rate of 240Hz. The level of pixel density gives game creators and gamers a new level of detail and image quality as they build and explore realistic game worlds.

On the other hand, the Odyssey OLED G6 (model G60SF) redefines speed, being the first OLED screen with a 500 Hz refresh rate and QHD (2560×1440) resolution. Lightning-fast speed and ultra-fluent gameplay unleash the potential of gamers who demand the best from their device’s performance to gain an edge in the battle for victory.

Both models offer a 0.03ms (GTG) response time for smooth visuals and crisp gameplay, even in fast-paced gaming environments. They also support AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and are compatible with NVIDIA G-Sync, which eliminates unwanted tearing and flickering effects. VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification delivers rich blacks with no color bloom or bleed, making the most of the OLED screen, while OLED Glare Free screens reduce distracting reflections and glare.

Samsung also presents the 27″ Odyssey 3D gaming monitor (model G90XF) at CES. Thanks to its lenticular lens attached to the front of the panel and its front-facing stereo camera, Odyssey 3D offers a customizable 3D experience without the need for separate 3D glasses. It can also add new depth to content by using artificial intelligence to analyze and convert 2D video to 3D.

ViewFinity S8: A bigger screen for productivity and creativity

In the 37” range, the ViewFinity S8 (model S80UD) is the largest 4K 16:9 monitor to date. Its screen is approximately 34% larger than the previous model and is designed to maximize productivity, immersion and efficiency. More information is easy to view at a glance, while making the most of desk space, ushering in a new era of large, high-productivity monitors.

With its 99% sRGB color gamut that faithfully presents colors on the 4K (3840×2160) screen, the ViewFinity S8 provides the color representation and brightness needed for professional users to do their work at their best.

The Samsung 2025 ViewFinity S8 range of monitors has been certified by TÜV Rheinland for “Ergonomic Workspace Display”, recognizing its ergonomic design that improves work immersion, task efficiency and productivity. TÜV Certified Intelligent Eye Care reduces user eye fatigue, even during prolonged use, by adjusting the color temperature according to ambient lighting. The light saving mode and a flicker-free function also protect the eyes from fatigue.

With a simple Easy Setup stand, the S8 also keeps productivity high with a built-in KVM switch, turning the monitor into a single command station for multi-device multitasking with a single mouse and keyboard. Devices can also be connected and charged at the same time with a 90W USB-C connection, making it easy to quickly manage all the accessories a user needs.
