Appointments within LaFA: who is joining the audiovisual sector?
A few weeks ago, the audiovisual groups France Télévisions, M6 and TF1, but also the main collective management organizations, ADAMI, SACD, SACEM and SCAM, as well as the producers’ unions ANIMFRANCE, SPI, and UPSA announced that they had joined forces to create LaFA, an audiovisual sector which aims to revolutionize the sector.
At the end of their first general meeting, all stakeholders adopted the statutes, appointed members of the Bureau, integrated new members and launched the first work. What should we remember?
For a period of 2 years, Rodolphe Belmer, Managing Director of the TF1 group, will be President of the association; Delphine Ernotte Cunci, Director General of France Télévisions, Nora Melhli, President of the SPI audiovisual office, and Pascal Rogard, Director General of the SACD, will be the Vice-Presidents of the association. For their part, Cécile Rap-Veber, General Director of SACEM and Iris Bucher, President of USPA, will respectively be Secretary and Treasurer of the association.
The LaFA Board of Directors approved the membership applications of 13 new organizations: Arte, France Médias Monde, FICAM, GARRD, the French Guild of Screenwriters, Les Voix, Locales.tv, SATEV, SEDPA, SNAC, SPECT, U2C and U2R, who became, as of December 20, the new members of LaFA.
Finally, the board of directors decided to develop a white paper on the economics of the French audiovisual sector and on recommendations to ensure its influence and development.
