Other gatherings, which, according to the civic association, are not coordinated with them, will also be held in Revúca and in Prague. “Together we will show that Slovakia is not Russia, Slovakia is Europe,” appeals OZ Mier Ukraine.

Those interested in participating in the protests are encouraged to bring Slovak flags, as well as bugles and whistles, lights and mobile phones, so that they can be seen and heard. The list of places is continuously updated. Specific places where protests will be held in individual cities can be found on social networks.

A protest called Slovakia is Europe - enough...

As OZ stated, they refuse to enter the sphere of Russian influence, Slovakia is a sovereign democratic state that is part of the Euro-Atlantic structures. “Alliance with the strongest forms a safe protective shield for Slovakia. Robert Fico weakens and destroys this protective shield. He is dragging us into imperial Russia, which is waging both hybrid and total war and does not respect international law and agreements. Let’s not allow it!” appeals the civic association.

It also calls for the defense of a free and independent Slovakia and the unification of society as a whole. The first of a series of large protest rallies took place on Friday, January 3, in front of the Slovak Government Office.
